Canadian Liberator

Canadian Liberator is a stunning red tulip which is being used to create awareness and remembrance for a very important moment in history. In 1945, Canadian forces were an integral part of the liberation of Europe at the end of World War II and spring 2020 marks 75 years since the end of WWII. It is important that the sacrifices of the many men, women and families are acknowledged and remembered.

Canadians across the nation are working towards creating a visual memorial. Through the sale and planting of the Canadian Liberator tulip, we will be raising awareness and paying respect to the many who contributed to lasting peace in Europe. The goal is to have as many Canadian Liberator tulips planted this fall from coast to coast, to create a striking visual display in spring 2020.

By planting the iconic Dutch tulip in fall of 2019, the Canadian Liberator tulip will bloom into a gorgeous memorial of red across Canada in Spring of 2020 just in time for the 75th anniversary of European liberation. For more information, please visit dutchcanada2020.com
